Discover how to pair Donsje's Little Muse or Warm Whisper candle with a signature gift box for a thoughtful, eco-friendly new parent present.
Quick answer
For a meaningful new parent gift, pair a Donsje scented candle with a medium gift box. Choose the Little Muse (fig + eucalyptus) for a baby girl or the Warm Whisper (amber + musk) for a baby boy.
Why a scented candle works as a new parent gift
New parents rarely have time for themselves, but a gentle fragrance can turn a quick feeding or a quiet moment into a mini escape. A scented candle offers a sensory pause without requiring any effort from the recipient. Donsje's candles are made from natural, eco-friendly wax, so they burn cleanly and safely around a newborn.
Choosing the right scent for the family
Donsje offers two distinct scents, each tied to a specific sentiment. The Little Muse candle blends ripe fig and crisp eucalyptus for an uplifting yet soothing aroma, designed to celebrate the bond with a baby girl. The Warm Whisper candle combines soft amber and delicate musk for a comforting, timeless fragrance, meant to honor the connection with a baby boy. If the baby's gender is a surprise or you prefer a unisex option, both candles work well on their own—just pick the scent profile you think the parents will enjoy most.
Gift box sizing and what fits
The medium gift box measures 26x21x8 cm and comes with a signature Donsje bow. It fits baby shoes and small accessories perfectly, but it is not suitable for children's shoes or larger accessories. A single scented candle fits comfortably inside, making it an ideal pairing. If your order includes items that don't fit, Donsje will deliver the gift box separately with your items.
How to choose your scented candle gift box
- Pick the scent by baby's gender or preference: Choose Little Muse (fig + eucalyptus) for a baby girl or Warm Whisper (amber + musk) for a baby boy. If gender is unknown, pick the scent you think the parents will love.
- Select the medium gift box: Order the medium gift box (26x21x8 cm) to hold the candle. It adds a polished, ready-to-give presentation with a signature bow. Check that the candle fits inside the box before checkout.
- Consider ordering extras separately: If you add items that don't fit the gift box (e.g., larger accessories), Donsje will deliver the box separately with your order. That's fine—the candle still arrives beautifully wrapped. If you want everything in one box, stick to small items only.
