The leather has that soft, worn-in feel right out of the box, and my daughter loves that the straps actually fit her skinny shoulders. The bear design made her want to wear it around the house before school even started.

The little bear face on the front is what sold my daughter instantly, and she insists on wearing it around the house even when there's no school. The leather has that lovely cognac smell and feels sturdy enough to survive a whole year of being dragged across the playground.
